Darlingtonia

Darlingtonia californica  (Cobra lily), was first named in 1853, at that time it was found growing, in coastal west Oregon, and the north west coast of California. This plant likes partial shade and  cool roots, we find that the use of terracotta pots normally provides plenty of root cooling. The pitchers can be up to around 90cm tall, with the characteristic cobras head on top.
