Nepenthes (monkey cup)
Nepenthes (monkey cup) are tropical pitcher plants, there are two main categories, lowland, and highland all of the plants here are highland, the conditions that these plants need are, daytime temperatures of 22c+, with night time temperatures of around 10c lower, and relative humidity of around 80%. Unlike most carnivorous plants nepenthes don`t like to stand in water and in fact like fairly good drainage, and to be watered from the top, normally once or twice a week depending on conditions . The preferred growing medium is fairly light and airy bark, perlite, and sphagnum moss some or all of these in the compost mix make a good basis.
